In this project started by Fabian Sounds, I’ve been commissioned to compose and produce various musical and audio fragments for an interactive mural located in the Ubik maker library in Tabakalera (San Sebastián). The samples are played by two Bare Conductive circuits from which multiple lines extend and become part of 400 Muralismo‘s design.
For this occasion, and after seeing 400 Muralismo’s design proposal, I decided to use a mix of more traditional sounds, like the Slovak koncovka or the Peruvian quena, with more digital and technological sounds and effects. I followed a natural tempo in all of the pieces, being perceivable the human origin, and thus highlighting the human origin of all technological projects.
I also include a recording of various fragments mixed into kind of a song, since, due to limitations of the boards it wasn’t possible to play more than one sound at once.
